Online Course from Student's View

The online course module allows students to enrol, navigate online course content, answer multiple choice questions and also download their own certificates.

The online course from students perspective they can

• Enrolling in an Online Course
• Paying by Manual Payment Methods
• Paying Online
• Navigate through course content
• Answer Exam Questions
• Mark their Assessment
• Reset their own results (if applicable)
• Download their own course certificate and see mark
• See their assessment results and summary (if applicable)

Enrolling in an Online Course

Users can access the available online courses and enrol by clicking "Enrol" under the relevant course

The enrolling student will be able to login if they already have an account or create an account and complete their course enrolment form. They can also select additional products if they are available (see "Enrolment Options" below)

Students will then be taken to the payment screen to process their payment, they can add a coupon code to their order if there is one available.

Paying By Manual Payment Methods

If payment manual payment methods are available and student select it they will be emailed an invoice with payment details and asked to pay before accessing the course. Payment details will also appear on the student invoice.

As soon as the administrator approves the payment, the student will be sent an email confirming their payment has been received and allowing them to access course content.

Paying by Online Methods

If a students pays by the gateway, they will be emailed and instantly given access to course content.

Navigating Course Content

All chapters will appear in an overview list and they can see any assessment questions.

Students can navigate through the chapter content

Answering  Assessment Questions

For any chapters that have assessment questions, they will see a "Start Assessment for Exam" button after the course content

Marking Student Assessment

Once they have completed the final question, it will display a  "Finish" button which will return the student to the overview page. Where they can click "Mark Assessment"

"Note" if the student attempts to mark their assessment before completing all questions they will be given a warning message.

Resetting Results

The students assessment will be marked instantly and results will be displayed on the screen. If the student fails, they will see the option to "Reset Results" (if this setting is turned on by admin).

Accessing Certificates and Course Information

Once the student successfully passes the exam, they will be able to download their own course certificate.

Students can access and view all course results and course invoices in their mysite area at anytime.

If your site has the configuration setting turned on, once a student has passed, they can see their assessment to see which questions they got right and wrong by clicking on the "Show me my Assessment Summary" link. If your students cannot see these and you would like the functionality turned on please raise a support request.
